What are the key elements of your proposed development?
Our proposals are to redevelop the land at 8-34 Matthias Road for the “partial demolition of the existing building and redevelopment to provide a new self storage facility (Use Class B8), new flexible workspace / incubator units (Use Class E(c)(iii),Use Class E(g)(ii), and Use Class E(g)(iii))), and other works ancillary to the development.”.
This mixed-use development will include 6,130sqm of self-storage and 532sqm of affordable workspace or “Fablabs” operated by STOREX Self Storage.

Is Anvil House, 8-34 Matthias Road currently occupied? What will happen to any existing tenants and occupiers there?
The site is currently empty having previously been a builder’s merchant, run by Travis Perkins. The branch closed in the early 2020s.
